Mes premières manipulations de corps, en 2004,
s’attachaient à produire des images représentant nos
capacités grégaires, dans l’évocation de similitudes de
nos sociétés avec des populations que nous considérons
avec condescendance. Malgré le constat d’une
certaine récurrence de ce type d’image, je garde une
affection pour celles-ci qui sont à l’origine de mon
travail actuel.
My first body manipulations in 2004 focused on
producing images representing our social animal
instincts, by evoking similarities between our societies
and populations we view with condescension.
Despite noting a certain recurrence of this type of
image, I am still fond of these, which are the sources
of my current work.
