Digression vers un loisir
Digression to a hobby
This has been a hobby of mine since 2009. It is just a simple
photographic account, "slightly" slanted, by a desire to deride
the attitudes that specially clothed bodies adopt. For
me the uniform is a distressing form. It symbolizes power
and imposes a stiffness of the body, nor is it worn with impunity.
It is a sport to track those moments when the powers
that be reveal something personal, through that armour
or by that armour.
Nor are these images watered down by a sugary "Hamilton"
blurring and shimmering contrast with impunity.
The uniform worn by the man often comes with "hypersexual"
attitudes, illustrations of muscular machismo. Catching
moments when a little relaxation is expressed "feminizes"
the attitudes. In this succession of stolen instants, the
amount of them and their diversity helps destroy the archetypal
image of the uniform and reveals a different vocabulary of the
"official" body.
